Our first student guide is about Barcelona - the second-largest city in Spain and the capital of Catalunya, the self-governing region in northeastern Spain, bordering the southwest of France. Barcelona features a generous climate with access to large beaches at the Mediterranean sea and a mountainous region surrounding the city limits. An ideal location for any exchange student or just for a vacation! As such, our student guide to Barcelona features all the things you need to know when going to Barcelona for a longer or shorter period of time (e.g. to study, work or simply on vacation). Being one of the most popular tourist cities in Europe it is naturally a very popular destination for students and exchange students. Barcelona has several large universities with many exchange students for instance Universitat de Barcelona (University of Barcelona), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and ESADE Business School, just to name a few. It's a city of vibrance and our student guide to Barcelona features the best places for younger people to go out (although this changes rapidly), clubs, music venues, festivals, good and cheap places to eat, sleep, etc.
